A photographer trained at the Gobelins school in Paris, I look in my images for a sense of calm and structure: a way of seeing focused on lines and light, whether they shape a landscape or a piece of architecture. This way of seeing is built beforehand. In the course of a simple walk, a bike ride, a drive or a hike, I observe my surroundings in search of a subject. I think through all the technical work needed to serve my aim: to convey as faithfully as possible what I see and feel at the instant I press the shutter.
Self-employed since 2012, and after eleven years in Paris, I now live in the Drôme, in southeastern France, at the foot of the mountains that nourish much of my work. Every stage, from shooting to post-production, meets the same exacting standard of precision.
